by Setup if you mean Your Operating system installation (eg windows xp , vista, linux)then during that time you cannot take use printscreen command . actually there are two ways to do that one is to install your os using VMware: Virtualization software and another way is to direct your system video output to another machines (having screen capturing software) and takes the print from there

Camera is the only way I can think of. It probably helps if your camera has manual settings. Use a tripod and do test shots of the screen while booted up to get the right exposure settings. If you are relying on autoexposure it may tend to overexpose when your screen is just text on a black background. Turn down room lights so that reflections on the screen won't turn into bright splotches on your picture. Turn off the flash.

    or

    - installing within a virtual environment like VMware and taking the screenshot from the "main" OS
    - KVMoverIP would work nicely too ;-)

If you're already in XP, then how about good ol' printscreen key? Course it depends on what kind of keyboard you have and if you have the correct mapping to an Apple keyboard.

Printscren key + MS Paint + Ctrl-V will do it. Then MS Paint will let you save as BMP, GIF, PNG, JPG, and more.

I use Grab on the OS X side (Apps > Utilities > Grab) or my old standby: IrfranView for Windows. Grab is can let you select arbritary sections, do timed captures and Preview will let you crop and convert to JPG, PNG, etc. IrfanView has all of these features built-in, no need to use other utilities.

Windows XP Setup Simulator is a program that teaches you how to install Windows XP, without having to worry you will mess up your hardware or software.

It just simulates installing Windows XP as if it was the real setup. It reproduces every step exactly as it is in the real setup, and it does not restart your computer.

This program can also be used as a guide for learning how to install Windows 2003, because the steps are very similar. The package also includes an e-book that explains every step of the Windows XP Setup and some other Windows XP Basics.

    Download from Here
    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/...imulator.shtml

and run it it will simulate windows xp installation on your current machine and then you can take screenshots normally using printscreen or using hoversnap Free Snapshot Taker (whih is really and simple)
