Windows xp get hang while accessing data

hi ,
i have come across strange trouble with my computer .some time it working fine but some time pc get hang while accessing some file or games,After this only way left is to Restart pc .so please can any body can help me to trouble shoot my pc ??

yes ,
it get hang when i try to access some file from D drive . there i stored my games .

now go to d: drive property then click on tool then hit check now and run scan disk scan for bad sector recovery .
after completion restart and try to accesses ..

hi ,
look i will suggest you to to use one application "hard disk regenerator " also called HDD Regenerator. it is very good application to recover bad sector .
try it

install it
then make burn cd or floppy through this software ,you can easily find that option .
then restart pc and boot from that cd or floppy
go with enter tab
scan will start

it automatically find and recover the bad sector .
