Hi
Of course I ask myself, but it is good to have all points of view, therefore I appeal to connoisseurs if it is better to choose a debian or ubuntu in the management of energy and packages.
but I must admit that it is necessary to know a little before switching on Debian. For it is against extreme stability it is very impressive. Indeed it is not for nothing that it is used on servers smile
Then Kubuntu (or Ubuntu) is more for beginners (it is still based on Debian and resumed such packages. Deb and the famous apt - get (or aptitude for perfectionists tongue ).In short it is a very good distribution but also for me it is not a symbol of stability although it is still nothing compared to Debian
For my part, I started with Ubuntu and others I advise anyone who want to start entering in the free world to begin with Ubuntu (or ubuntu). After there are other distributions, the most famous Fedora, Mandriva, openSUSE, Gentoo because everything has to compile when it wants to install, I said but at least we have an OS map) and many others
Kubuntu is based on Debian packages therefore it is the same.
Kubuntu to a more obvious and intuitive, untilise KDE rather than Gnome in Ubuntu.
For power management is such drivers if they exist will be usable with debian and ubuntu.
