    BSOD with Bad Pool Header

I downloaded the most recent updates from Microsoft yesterday. Now I am experiencing a strange problem of getting a blue screen with an error message Bad Pool Header. My system even keeps on crashing. Please help me to fix this.

If you think that an update is the problem, than you can choose to uninstall it.

Here's the solution for your problem:

    • Boot Windows in the safe mode.
    • Open the Registry Editor by going to Start button, selecting Run and type r.
    • Fetch HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} and search UpperFilters and LowerFilters.
    • Right-click on them (individually) and select Delete. Click Yes to delete the item.
    • Close the Registry Editor.
    • Restart your computer.
