Change the license key of Vista

I am going to try to change the license key on my Vista 32-bit. Must switch from Home Premium to Business, and want to know about if the change has any impact on my data for example, reinstall / format, so everything on my hard drive will be erased? Otherwise, I must have taken something back.

Ehm is it just me who has misunderstood something, or require a change of the type to not reinstall vista with the other type of CD?

I think there is not a home premium CD and a CD business. Otherwise, microsoft since been surprisingly compliant in mind that they insist on having different CDs with different languages.

All versions of Vista (except x64 vs. 32-bit, as they are split on either) is on the same DVD.

If we now have a pirated Windows Vista Ultimate (with dell crack) NOT that I have it ... OEM know someone .. and you buy one, let us say, business or home premium key, you can then use the same method as jesse referred WITHOUT having to reinstall?
