Setting up a computer for Linux

    Hello everyone,

I plan to buy a new computer before the end of the year to install Linux as the sole OS. . But how to choose among all the possibilities and how to know if the equipment is compatible with the rest of the components and if it works well with Linux?

My budget is not set, but I would like to have a fairly powerful machine to run some games and more. And if the machine can last several years, and have opportunities for extensions in the future, it is with joy.

    Thank you for your responses.

Personal conventional components, I make a config and I first check the compatibility later, and I change if necessary

I components anything but conventional printers, scanners and non-standard devices.

    I would say in RS - 65,000

What brands for each component would be most appropriate in order to circumvent the current distributions?

For the processor, what would be best suited between AMD and Intel?

Is it better to opt for a dual processor or dual core, or yet another solution?

At the moment, Intel is clearly better, level quality / price, even if AMD goes back a bit
A dual core you will much less expensive than double Proco, look at the price of motherboards a 2 socket
