Drive letters problem while cloning 2003 server

    Hi all,

I have some queries please give me the ans.

1- When I delete the drive letter of any drive in windows 2003 server then after restarting the machine why server 2003 does not assigns the drive letter to that drive like windows XP and VISTA?

2- Is there any security setting that I need to unblock to do so?

I know that how to reassign the drive letters to drive very well, but I just want to know the reason behind that.

    Please clear my doubt.

    Thanks.

If it shows up in My Computer just right click on it and chose disconnect. If it is not check group policy editor and make sure it is not mapping it.
