    Kingston KVR13N9S8/4 with Intel DH55TC

I am using a Intel Desktop board DH55TC with 2gb of Kingston DDR3 RAM. Now that I have installed Windows 8.1 on my pc, I wanted to upgrade my hardware by adding extra 2gb RAM. So I bought a new Kingston KVR13N9S8/4 RAM and inserted in the motheboards RAM slot. Now the problem is that once Windows will load its screen then it will continuously restart over and over again. I was told that this RAM was supported on my motherboard but now it is giving me problems. Is there any fix for this issue? Thanks

The Intel Desktop Board DH55TC that you have does not supports the Kingston KVR13N9S8/4. The compatible RAM with the motherboard that you have is KVR13333D3N9H/4G, so you will need to check from the store that you bought, whether they have it with them or not. These new modules of RAM are Dual Rank and they are fully supported on the old motherboards. You can also try to call Kingston at 1-800-435-0640 or email them at their technical support for some more information about your problem.

Before changing the Kingston RAM that you have, I will suggest you to first install the latest motherboard BIOS in your system. You should also try to clear the CMOS and then check by booting your computer only with the 4gb RAM stick instead of using both 2gb and 4gb modules. If performing this things still doesnt solve your problem then it is possible that the RAM modules that you have purchased are not compatible with your motherboard.

Re: Kingston KVR13N9S8/4 with Intel DH55TC

I dont think that the Kingston KVR13N9S8/4 RAM module is compatible with the Intel DH55TC motherboard because most of the intel boards only support double sided RAM sticks. The RAM stick that you have bought is single sided. If you will go in the below page of Intel compatibility page for your motherboard, then you can also check that your RAM stick is not listed, which means, it is not going to work with your motherboard. The only solution for you is to buy a new RAM that is compatible with your board.
