    Gigabyte Z97X vs MSI Z97

I am looking to buy a new motherboard to fullfil my gaming requirement. So, to build my gaming PC I have selected 2 motherboards which are suited to me well. They are Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3 LGA1150 ATX Motherboard and MSI Z97 Gaming 3 LGA1150 ATX Motherboard. I want to know which motherboard will be the best in terms of performance and long term benefits. I have heard that MSI boards are made up of cheap quality components? If this is true then should I go with Gigabyte mobo itself? Thanks

Out of the motherboard that you have listed I would go with the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 motherboard. I have not tested any MSI motherboard's and have read few reviews about them user's complaining lack of features and poor quality build. This Gigabyte motherboard supports all the 4th and 5th generation socket. Since it is a gaming motherboard the best part is its sound enhancement which brings crips and clear sound while you are playing any games.

I would also definitely suggest the Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3 LGA1150 ATX Motherboard. But note that this board is sold at high cost on different website. On amazon it is listed for only $135.25 where else different website are offering it for more than $190. You also get a solid overclocking abilties with this board. By simply entering a number you can change the multiplier in the BIOS. The software availble for this motherboard is also very good.

I have been using Gigabyte motherboards for many years and I absolutely lover their reliability. Since you are looking for a gaming board then this Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5 is designed for what you want. The gaming mobo's have a lot of cool features for gamers, like for instance, killer ethernet or usb ports for your gaming peripherals. You get a lot of feature in the BIOS which is needed for safe overclocking. I will also suggest you to get a good graphics card for hardcore gaming.
