best among Gigabyte GTX 770 and GTX 780 graphics card

I am looking to buy a new graphics card for extreme gaming and for that I wanted to know whether the Gigabyte GTX 770 graphics card would suffice or should I buy the GTX 780 video card? The problem with the GTX 780 is that it only has 3GB of vram compared to the 4gb on the GTX 770 card. I just want to know which one of these graphics card would last longer compared to each other and till what time? I am going to use it on a 1080p monitor as well. Thanks for any information in advance.

I think that the 3gb ddr5 graphics card would be more than enough to run on an 1080p monitor and also it will work fine even with 3 of them. If you want to use multi-monitor like 3 or more then you can go for the 4gb ddr5 video card but for a single 1080p monitor you do not necessarily have to use use those 4gb ddr5 card. Leaving all those things aside, the GTX 780 is a titan based graphics card, so it has got more cude cores with more memory bandwidth and it is also very powerful.

The Gigabyte GTX 770 is nothing but similar card like a GTX 680 and if compared then the GTX 780 has got more performance than the GTX 770. You can easily play all upcoming games of 2015 on high settings without any problems. But note that, you should also get a minimum of 750Watt Power Supply to handle the graphics card. It will require the seperate 8 pin connector from the PSU to power the graphics card. There are many good brands like Antec, Seasonic, Corsair, etc; that you can choose from.

I dont think until 2015, there will be any game that will use 3GB of VRAM even though graphics card with more VRAM use more and GPUs with less VRAM use less. I am using 2 GTX 770 video cards in SLI and I also run at 1080p resolution whih is where I am suppose to use all the 4GB of VRAM. To run any games that will come in 2015 or 2016, the GTX 780 will be more than enough to run those at 1080p resolution. Even if you would go with the GTX 770 then there is no harm.
