GA-78LMT-USB3 and FX-8350 compatibility

I am looking to buy a new computer build and for that I want to buy Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 and AMD FX-8350 processor. I wanted to know if this CPU is compatible with the Gigabyte motherboard that I am choosing. Also, what RAM mhz should I choose whether 1600mhz or 1333mhz for this motherboard? Thanks for any information in advance.

After checking the official website of Gigabyte the GA-78LMT-USB3 supports only 1333mhz RAM only. So, it is not a good idea to buy the 16000mhz ram for your mobo. As for a good brand of RAM, Corsair might be satisfactory for your usage as they provide the best RAM in the market with good performance. Just check on any online store to buy those RAM.

The Amd FX-8350 processor will definitely work with the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3. But I would suggest you to go with a 970 series mobo instead of the board that you are choosing because the CPU is very highly rated for the mobo and it will simply bottleneck. Also, I read somewhere that the GA-78LMT-USB3 board does support 1600mhz RAM from some documents at gigabyte website.

Yes, if you go on the Gigabyte website memory support page then you can check that this GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard does support 1600mhz RAM, download the document from here for proof - http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList...78lmt-usb3.pdf. Seem like after a BIOS update it is possible to use 1600mhz memory on this mobo and above this is not supported.
