Gigabyte Radeon HD 6670 for Gaming

I am using a Asus motherboard that has an onboard Radeon 3000 graphics on it. I am now looking for a budget upgrade to play all high end games on my pc. I was thinking if Gigabyte Radeon HD 6670 graphics card will work with the latest video games that are released till now with 1600x900 resolution support? Does anyone have any experience with this card? Thanks

Can you tell us what is your overall budget? I think that you should go atleast with a HD 7750 graphics card that you can easily get for as cheap as $90. There is no need to go for 2gb card as 1gb will be enough. The Gigabyte Radeon HD 6670 is a low end card that will be overloaded using 2gb of VRAM and it will make the game unplayable.

If you are using a motherboard that has a PCI-Express lot then there is no problem using the Gigabyte 6670 graphics card. The main advantage of this card is that it is low powered and you wont have to use or upgrade to a high wattage Power Supply for its support. But do know that, you wont be able to play all games at high settings.

There is no doubt that a HD 6670 will run all the game but I will suggest you to look at the HD 7750 graphics card that will cost you $100 approximately. The latter card is a powerful one and it will be a good choice if you have a 450W PSU atleast. This card draws all the power from the motherboard via the PCI-E slot and you can expect a better 50% performance compared to the HD 6670.
