    Deleted Windows Installaer $PatchCache$ Folder....

I have deleted Windows\Installer $PatchCache$ folder and since then my system is not able to install MSOffice 2003 updates. It fails saying 514118.EXCELff.msp file missing which i think was there in deleted folder. I wanted to know if there is anything i can do further to install MSOffice update ?

I will like to inform you that \Windows\Installer folder stores cached copies of installed updates applied by Microsoft Installer program and goes through it for further update, so if its not there then you wont be able to install any office update. If you want then you can try repairing office program but if that doesn't make any difference then you will have to uninstall office 2003 completely and make clean installation of it for installing updates without any such issues.
