Office 2007 Deploy GPO and upgrade

I am on a Windows 2003 Server network. It has AD configured on the same. Now there are some system which has Microsoft Office 2003. It is installed with custom msts. I am bit researching on better process of deploying office around the network. I am working on a msp file. I had created that through certain updates. I had created the same as per setup.ext /admin. It works fine without any error. But I am not aware to use the same through config.xml. The thing that I want to do here, is make Outlook accessible everywhere I want and second make certain settings that all files would be stored in the office 2003 format only.

For customizing the same you have to work with GPO. The msp here can't be used. You need to create script or batch files to make the changes you want. You can add those modifies in config.xml and then deploy the same. But if you are not using GPO then you can simply work with those .msp files that you had created recently.

On my network we have Office 2003 configured. But it happens that sometime you need some fresh installs. I am on this topic from long time and I had seen using GPO is the best way to get proper results. It is better to configure msp in the login script and your job will be done.
