I cannot repair or uninstall Business Contact Manager

I bought a new laptop last week that came pre-loaded with Office 2007 Professional. I tried using its Word and Excel so far and there’s no problem. But today when I tried launching Business Contact Manager, it was crashing itself. I thought to repair with the installation disk but as soon as I start repair wizard it goes ahead and quits itself. I was unable to repair BCM.

So I thought to re-install it again and hence I tried removing but seems like it don’t want to be removed as well. Uninstallation wizard too quits saying Uninstallation failed. Can anyone help me out please ?

Such problem appear when you had improperly removed the old edition of Business Contact Manager. There are some left registry keys which are facing the issue. You have to fix that to get the proper kind of output. The registry values which are affected due to this are - HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{00062FFF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\9.4\0\win64 & HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{FB0E72B9-41D3-46FC-9593-0846ECA9E143}\1.0\0\win64\(Default). To fix the issue rename HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{00062FFF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\9.4\0\win64 to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{00062FFF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\9.4\0\BAKwin64.

Click on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 from Start menu. In that you have to click on Configuration Tools. Then click on SQL Server Configuration Manager > SQL Server Services. Right click not the same and then click on Start. Now restart outlook again and see whether it is working or not. If not then you have to run system restore. This will instantly restore old setting which might give you time to backup data from Contact Manager. Then you can go ahead with complete Microsoft Office setup. This will resolve the issue.
