office 2003 SP3 silent install

How to deploy silent Office 2003 installation. It is just for Office 2003 SP3. It should work quietly in the background without troubling anyone. I do not want any kind of user interaction here. I have around 4 servers on my system. And all of them have Active Directory configured. All users are inside domain and none of them are having admin rights. The setup mostly runs in the form of executable format.

This are also called as unattended installation. Does there is WSUS configured on your network. Because that would be the only way which I think can help you here. You can simply run the setup and the perform fresh updates. It will be silent and there is interference needed in the backside. If you do not have WSUS configured, then you can simply download and install it free.

If you are using GPO then this can be done through a script. For that there are some short steps that I can provide you. First download and keep a copy of SP3 in your system. Then create a folder in the C drive and name it Patch. Copy the SP3 update in that folder. Run cmd and then type cd\ and hit enter. Now again type cd patch and hit enter. Type the full name of exe file you copied in that and at the end add the following nameoffile.exe /c /t:c:\patch /q and hit enter. Now in C drive you will find some .msp files. This are newly created fiels. You can add this in shared fodler and then through cmd initiate the setup on system boot. The command is msiexec /p \\fullpatchoffile\nameoffile.msp /qn.
