Office 2007 Home & Student Re-Installation Activation Key challenge

It is my Vista laptop that was running with Office Home and Student 2007 edition. Yesterday due to some critical problem I needed to reformat it. I did it and installed all required applications and softwares including Office. There was no problem with the installation but when I tried opening office applications like Powerpoint, Excel, Word it use to prompt me with a message to enter Activation key. I tried doing the same but it is not accepting the keys any more. Any help ?

Just for confirmation I would like ask again that whether you did reformat or factoring settings. Because if you did factory settings than it might have restored the Office 2007 Trail version back to your system that comes preloaded with the new laptop. And hence you might have been facing the problem. You should check for this under Add and remove programs. If it is there you will need to Uninstall completely and re-install the Home and Student Edition.

You can also check this Under MS Word > Word Options > Resources. See what is the version listed over there.

Thanks for the info buddy. I went to word options and this is what listed there:

Microsoft Office Word 2007 (12.0.6504.5000) SP2 MSO (12.0.6425.1000)
Part of Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007

Now though this is what I installed and dint helped me, but I also found MS Works listed in my Add and Remove programs. Though removing it dint helped me yet but was this anyhow cause of this problem ? Anyway, I have put a mail to Microsoft regarding this and expecting their reply. Lets see what they suggest to fix this.
