Dasavatharam
For the last two years, Rajasekhar has been part of the special effects team that worked on Kamal Haasan's Dasavatharam.
The costliest film-ever to be made in India at over Rs 65 crore, it not only has Kamal in 10 roles, it is also the first Indian film that has special effects from the first to the last reel.
That's what Kamal looks like in three of the 10 roles he plays in Dasavatharam and many Kamals will be seen together in many scenes, touching each other, even fighting with each other.
"At the pre-production stage itself, we had decided that we will not do anything that anyone else has done before. We also did not restrict ourselves for any technical reason," said Senthil Kumar, In-charge of visual effects.
The volume of the work was so huge that 11 companies had to share the work to finish it on time.
"We ourselves created more challenges for ourselves. In a steady bloc shot, we thought why not we do movement shot of the five characters," said K S Ravikumar, Director, Dasavatharam.
The production team says the computer graphics work in Dasavatharam is not gimmicky but very realistic and will set the benchmark for future Indian films.
