Can't send mp3 ringtone through mms

Is it possible to send a mp3 ringtone via mms? I have a friend who don't have the option to receive any thing such as Bluetooth or Infrared port. So he is just left with mms. But when I tried to send the mp3 ringtone to him, I got the message saying "Message sent failed". Can you help me how to send the mp3 ringtone to my friend via MMS?

What is the file type you are trying to send? Are you sure the file type is mp3? If it is mp3 then try to move the file to Music folder and see if it can be sent. Also see if your MMS settings are configured properly. You an reconfirm the settings with the provider to avoid any difficulty.

I don't see a reason for failing the message sent request. The only possibility that could be either the mp3 file size is too large for the recipient to download or it may not be supported by the recipient. Also does your friend's mobile is also configured to receive the MMS message. Confirm this which ever is applicable in your case.

If you don't know then I would like to inform you that there is a setting on some mobiles to limit the amount of data that can be sent from that device a given point of time. If you have one then may be that is causing the problem to you. Also file sixe do matter on certain conditions. Ideally you are not allowed to sent any file via MMS which is larger than 100 kb. If you want to sent it then you have to sent it in parts rather than all at once.
