I heard some guys talking about some Google Business Referral program. I am not aware of this Google referral but they were talking about some making money with this program. Is is true ? If yes, than how to earn money from Google Business Referral ?

yeah, it is true but unfortunately the program is no longer available. Basically Google use to pay you up to $10 to "visit local businesses to collect information (such as hours of operation, types of payment accepted, etc.) for Google Maps, and tell them about Google Maps and Google AdWords. The program was designed to build a network of locally based program representatives who would reach out to businesses in their communities, collecting their data for Google Maps and educating them a bit about other products. Many relationships have been built as a result of LBR, and local connections have been forged that we hope will continue. However, the program was started as an experiment, and now the time has come to bring the experiment to an end.

This program was available long back now there is no such way to earn money. The LBR program was shut down at the end of the last year; that was December 31, 2008, and they are no longer accepting new business referrals.
