A group of researchers at the University of Texas developed a new material that allows you to convert audio signals from your voice, specifically vibrations, enough electricity to power a cell phone. This new invention relates to a piezoelectric material, 21 nanometers in diameter (a human hair measures 100,000 nanometers) that increases the energy received at up to 100%.
A piezoelectric material is usually a glass ceramic to be subjected to any mechanical stress produces an electric charge. This technology, which potentially can be applied to any device with little energy consumption, would remove the batteries and charge a mobile device with just our voice or sound in our environment, thus preventing right in the middle of an important conversation on the phone download and of course, also eliminate the use of batteries.
What do you think this new development?
