Now search your life-mate on mobile phone

Shaadi.com, the world’s largest matrimonial service provider and Vodafone Essar Limited, one of India’s leading cellular services providers, launched ‘Shaadi.com on Vodafone’- a matrimonial service on Vodafone mobile phone. A first of its kind service in India, this tie-up will enable Vodafone customers to access Shaadi.com’s matrimonial services on their mobile phones. Vodafone customers will be able to access this service through a call (by calling 57007), SMS (by sending Shaadi as an SMS to 57007) or on Vodafone live! (by clicking on shaadi.com link on Vodafone live!). This initiative is powered by Mauj Mobile. The move to go mobile by Shaadi.com comes close on the heels of the announcement of its service being available on DTH.

‘Shaadi.com on Vodafone’ will enable Vodafone users to search and view profile details of other members without the need to log on to the Internet. Mobile phone users will be able to browse through profiles, express interest in members, accept/ decline interest sent to them by other members and send personalized messages to prospective matches.

Commenting on the tie-up, Anupam Mittal, CMD, People Group, says, “Shaadi.com has always believed in innovating and bringing the latest technology to our customers by enabling them to enjoy our services in a way that’s convenient to them. With the alliance with Vodafone – the premium telecom service provider, Shaadi.com has created the concept of ‘Matrimony on the Move’, thereby making our matchmaking service accessible to millions of people. Earlier we had a presence on online, offline, DTH and now post this alliance with Vodafone; Shaadi.com will be available on the mobile platform as well, making us the only player providing 360 degrees matrimony services.”

Speaking at the occasion, Harit Nagpal, Director – Marketing and New Business, Vodafone Essar, said, “With ‘Shaadi.com on Vodafone’ customers can search for a life partner on the go, on SMS or call; without having to necessarily log on to the net. This is another important service to add value to our customers’ lives.”
