Vista/Comcast question

I bought an Acer laptop not long ago and just set up my wireless connection on it. I was connected for a day and now when I open internet explorer I can't get to the internet. I noticed an update had just installed but i'm not sure how to navigate Vista all that well. I know i'm connected to the net my wireless signal says I have a good connection. I can connect just fine with my old laptop and wireless card. Oh one other thing I did a system restore and I got connectivity again for a day until my computer updated again. ugh any ideas? Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. If needed i'll do another system rollback to try to get the exact update it installed.....although I'd prefer not to. Anyone have this problem?

try calling comcast and ask to speak to a supervisor for such issues

While online, try typing http://192.168.100.1 into your browser. This may let you into the Comcast modem's control panel if you have one of the motorola models. There are some logs in there.
