How to strengthen wifi signal in dorms?

In my college dorms,wifi signal is not too strong to provide a fast wifi speed.So you have any ideas to make it faster.Btw,there are four people in my dorm,and there are about 6 wifi devices. I serched google, I find this sofware: My WIFI Router. How do you think about this software?

You need a good router or repeater to get speed. My Wifi is a virtual router software which is not going to help much. A good router can help you to get constant and good speed. I have around 4 devices at home and I was using Virtual Router before. It was very slow and then I bought a Dlink router. It is fast and gives a long range support.
