    Require effective antivirus

I have been facing a lot of problems with my current Antivirus, Norton. I need to change it asap. Please suggest something more effective, even if I have to purchase one it's fine.

Well, I am using the free Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus on my system from 1 year or so and till now havent faced any problems in my computer. This antivirus also uses minimal system resources and immediately removes any nasties from your pc. Norton on the other hand is quite resource hungry and hence people stay away from it.

Before settling an any one particular AV you can try free versions of softwares like avast, quick heal and kaspersky. I currently use Kaspersky and find it quite good but have heard the others AV's are good too.

I use quick heal the home user version. You can give it a shot. Its been a year & I haven't faced issues.

How about trying bitdefender or kaspersky or maybe even avira. They are all good. I currently use bitdefender. However if you want good customer support then you try Microsoft Security Essentials or Quick heal.

Malwarebytes and quick heal or any other good AV make a good combination
