question Is TP-LINK TL-MR3020 Portable 3G/3.75G/4G Wireless N Router good for me?

I have 3 devices I want to connect to the internet.

    a) My Android Mobile
    b) My Desktop PC (with a LAN port, no wireless)
    c) My Laptop (with wireless)

I use Tata Photon+ USB modem (Huawei EC156) to connect to the internet.

I am considering buying this router

    I want to know whether?
    a) I can use a LAN cable to share my Tata Photon Connection with my PC at the same time sharing it with my Laptop and Mobile?
    b) Is there a better alternative (i.e lower cost and features)?

TP-LINK TL-MR3020 is ideal for home usage. You get 150mbps of bandwidth on this. And it is portable easy to manage device. From my point of view it is not costly. But remember that portable routers with range limit. So you cannot expect them to use from far distance. The speed will be good enough between 4 to 6 meters. I had used some portable routers which promise for high range but none of them is able to sustain constant connection ahead of 9 meters.

    Thank you for replying.

When I connected my Tata Photon+ modem for the first time, I was getting slow speeds. I then upgraded its firware and disabled the firewall (I have my own which provides decent protection). Now I am satisfied with it.

The range is as you described. The signal strength diminishes by the time you reach the 9 metre mark. But for now, I am getting good connectivity around my house so I am not complaining.

That's good. I am using a Photon Wi-Fi router. This is a portable router that comes with sim connection. By pressing one button I can share my internet with any other. One thing I do not like about this sim based connection is internet speed. They fluctuate and does not remain constant. And if you are trying to access them inside a room with door close, then also the single drops. Compare to them broadband is far more better.
