question Lan connection on same Domain??Possible??

Well..i have a PC and My brother has a Laptop[Company Laptop].We want LAN gaming by connecting one end of Ethernet wire to his laptop and other end to my PC.Fine..i know that our both systems should be in same work group.

But now we have some problem..,as his Laptop is Company working Laptop,he cant have admin rights to change from domain to WORKGROUP.

is it possible to play Lan game in such laptops??

or atleast..,if i change my PC from WORKGROUP to Domain[so that my bro need not make any changes in his laptop] can we play lan game as we both in same domain??

I think you do not need to change the workgroup unless you are using the games interface to connect with each other. For example game like counter strike. Even when the users are on different work they can connect with each using the games connection utility. Anyhow your brother need admin rights to install and configure the game.
