ESET NOD32 Antivirus catching HTML/ScrInject.B.Gen virus for MS office site

It seems to me that the MS office site has been compromised. The thing is whenever I try to open the MS office site, I am getting a pop up from ESET antivirus saying that HTML/ScrInject.B.Gen virus trying to attack on your computer. No matter what browser, I use, I always get the same result from the ESET NOD32 Antivirus. Does anyone know about this?

The ESET already released its notes saying that it is a false positive in the new version of ESER security products which will be fixed in update 658. The update is being prepared right now. I don’t know whether it is already available or not but I hope that it will downloaded shortly on your virus signature database. ESET promised that they have taken measures to prevent the faulty updates.

Ever since I have installed the latest version of the ESET NOD32 Antivirus, I have been getting the alerts relating to Microsoft Office. I don’t know what would be in your case but I think that it is a sensitivity issue regarding a recent update. You can notice this false positive with both Real-time and HTTP Scanners.

ESET, specialist in proactive threat detection, found a marked change in the statistics made by his analysis center in the Cloud (Live ESET Grid) over the last two months. As in December 2011, the malware HTML / ScrInjectB.Gen appears at the top of threats observed worldwide during the first month of 2012, with an infection rate of 4.98%. The threat HTML / Iframe.B comes third with 2.74%. HTML / ScrInject is a generic detection for HTML pages containing scripts otherwise hidden iframe tags that automatically execute download of malware. The Security expert at ESET says that the rise of the threat HTML / ScrInject is probably a transient phenomenon due to Christmas shopping online for a greater number of newbies, little awareness of Internet threats. As for a malware researcher at ESET, it considers that there is probably a link with the increasing spread of malware like Rogue (rogue detection) through adult sites.

I have portable Chrome browser in a TrueCrypt container. I can run over it now, but ESET has found the scrinject.b.gen virus twice in the browser cache. Nod32 has deleted it and the second scan found nothing. If the virus is now gone and there was no exe file because it was never installed.
