How to Disable Kaspersky external service control

Does anyone know about the Disable external service control in kaspersky antivirus? This is the first time I am hearing about this and don’t know for what purpose kaspersky uses this. Is there any service setting for this to enable or disable?

As far as I know that if the “external service control is disabled” or this option is checked inside that setting, then there is no way you can start/stop the Kaspersky service using the Windows control panel. Moreover you are also not allowed to access it via net start avp/net stop avp commands.

I went to search for this options and I got it inside the Protection>Computer Protection Status>Settings (tick box) but there kaspersky didn’t explain anything about that. I have looked into the Help file also. Don’t know for what purpose kaspersky added this feature. I can only assume that it is somewhat related to the kaspersky’s self protection.

By default, the protection from external control is enabled. If needed, you can disable it.

To do this from external control:
    • Open the application settings window .
    • In the left pane, under Advanced Settings, select the Self-Defense section.
    • Control section; uncheck the Disable external service control outside.

It happens frequently that remote administration programs such as RemoteAdmin are necessary when using the remote access protection. To ensure normal operation of these applications, you must add to the list of trusted applications and enable the Do not monitor application activity for each of them.
