Downloading leads to Network lag

First of all, I would like to tell that I am on a wireless network and having some problem with this. actually the network runs properly but when I start downloading something then I find that there is some lag in the network. Can you tell me that what is the problem with this and how can I be out of this issue. I have tried with all the things that I know to get this resolved but none of them worked for me and not I am totally depend on your replies.

As you have mentioned that you are using the wireless connection so my suggestion to you is to make use of the UTP cable and then try it again,. I dont think that you will get the problem again.

If you are having problem with wireless then you can also try wirelessly and see if you are getting the problem again. I would like to tell you that with the WLAN , the tx is just making use of the half-duplex and this indicates that there is just at one time, only one station will transmit the data and this is the reason that you are getting lag to the network.
