Apple TV airplay not working with Cisco 2112 WLC

As using the Wireless LAN Controller 2112 I am having issue with the ipads and iphones the thing is that the when scanning for the network I can just notice the apple TV and not the iphone and ipads detecting and also do not see the airplay icon. But I have seen that airplay icon appears when plugging to the LAN. So I would like to know that why it happens.

Even I’m having the same issue with the WLC not able to scan the ipods , itunes and the iphone. As I tried searching for this all over and finally I hope to get the answers from here. So if anyone knowing about this just please let me know about this.

If you are having problem with this then I would tell that you should try to check the SUBNET, as the device which are connected with it should be on the similar subnet. And second thing you should note it is that you should enable the multicast.

So ensure that you have checked for this and if not then try doing this and see that both the things which is mentioned above you have done with it.

Yeh ….I have tried with the above solution as earlier I was having the same issue of airplay icon not appearing on the screen, but after setting the multicast address I am able to see the airplay icon and is working fine. So I think those who are facing this issue can try with this.
