NOD32 EAV version 5 locks up my computer

I use NOD32 antivirus for years and never had problems until I upgraded. Yesterday I update it to NOD32 EAV version 5 and now it freezes my computer. When I try to run this program, computer system immediately shops working and keyboard/mouse not working properly. I installed this antivirus on my Win XP Pro sp3 box. When I use Task Manager to "End Task" and then re-start EAV, egui.exe drops down to 0%. Can anybody help me to understand what happens onto it? Any help will be appreciates for me.

Did you install NOD32 EAV version 5 after first uninstalling NOD32 EAV version 4?? If not, then I first suggest to you for try to uninstall all the setup of the NOD32 EAV version 4 and 5 onto your system. Then reboot your system. After doing this task, perform clean installation task on it. this will be work to fix my complicated troubles.

I installed over top of NOD32 EAV version 4 and hence similar kind of freezes up problem arrives on my system. Then I try to use above mentioned simple clean installation task on it. This will be work and now all the features and functions of this program work correctly. Also the system not going to freezes stage.

I suggest to you for try to do ekrn.exe to spike up the processor instead of egui.exe. You need to open NOD 32 setup folder and find the way to Computer -> Removable media. This with the help of this removable media such as Pen drive or external hard disk, perform installation task onto it. you can use the command prompt with networking option onto your system and then apply this clean installation process onto it. try to apply such process and after finishing this process, check what happen after opening this antivirus program.

The issue with version 5.0 is causing a lockup of the system when external hard drives are plugged in my system. Then I again try to upgrade it to the latest 5.0.94.0 version. This will be work and now all are running like fresh system. There is not any single harness arrives onto this windows bases system. You can also use this update antivirus process for better improvement.

For the USB connection, try temporarily disabling protection on NOD32. I would be also workful to avoid this computer freezes up issue.

I've been trialing the new version of NOD32 version 5 and I also seen few bug on it. I think a lot of users are having the same problem as well. I have it since installing eav5. Hence I suggest to you for try to uninstall this version 5 on your system. The reboot system and perform clean installation of the NOD EAV 4 version onto your windows XP. This is downgrade process and with the help of this process you get security without facing any computer freezes up problem.

I try this command on my windows xp in safe mode but still I have doubt that this program gives complete effort of securing the system. Hence I decided to go back to NOD32 version 4. I experience on this NOD32 version 4 and it gives lot of best effort and functions compared to the version 5. Hence I would be also suggesting to you do this downgrade process, if you faced such kind of issues.

I have the exact same setup Windows 7 x64, NOD32 and Java 6 Update 27 without any problems. You can also try this combination of security program on your system. It might be possible that the windows xp is not comfortable with this version 5. Hence try to install NOD32 version 5 on windows 7. It may be possible that it doesn’t give any such problem.
