With ESET EAV 4.2.64 and Truecrypt 7, I get BSOD.

Hey all, I am having problem with the ESET nod32 version 4, and I Have confirmed this on the two different machine but yet the problem remains the same. And the problem is that when I am trying to increase the volume at that time I get continually BSOD, and this making the hard to access my PC. And for that I have also tried with using the new Truecrypt 7 but still the same problem with this. And this only occurs to me when I am trying to increase the volume. When I try it with the 32bit version on that, BSOD always reports eamonm.sys as the problem. But when this problem occurs on the 64 bit version at there I don’t found any particular driver problem over here. What can I do to resolve this problem? Please reply me back about this.

For that reason I will suggest you to try with the configure Windows to generate complete memory dumps per the instructions, this will help you to reproduce BSOD. And when you done with this at that time compress it and convey it to ESET for perusal. Hope that this helps you for resolving your BSOD problem.

I am using TrueCrypt 6.3a and also had used EAV BE 4.2.58.3 on my windows 7, but there I don’t get the problem with this. And also I have half my primary hard drive encrypted. And now I am going to wait for the Truecrypt 7. For you I will suggest you that you will try mount TC volumes as removable media, Just a random thought. I am not sure that this will help you to resolve the problem or not but at least you can put a try with this in the hope to get the suggestion. Reply me back about the result. And also if this also not helped to you then you will need to use the previous version only.

Ok, can you please reply me back about the COMPLETE memory dump created during BSOD?? If yes then please try to create this and then reply me back over here. With the help of that I will try to analyze it and hopefully find the problem cause.

Yes, me to also get the same problem with the NOD32 4.2.64.12 and Truecrypt 7 on windows 7. And in my case also I get the problem when I am trying with the mount a Truecrypt container file. And for getting resolve the problem I have also tried with contacting with the ESET support but they were not able to help me in this case. I tried with all there suggestion but still the same problem appears again. I am still trying with this and if I get this problem to resolve then I will provide the latest dump. If not then I need to move away from NOD. Can here anyone help me also for getting resolve the problem???

According to me the complete memory dump option is not available on computers which are running with the 32 bit operating system and also for the system which are running with the 2 gigabytes or more memory of the RAM. Since here you are saying that you are getting this problem with the NOD32 version 4 and also with the Truecrypt 7 then for this I will suggest you to use the updated version of the NOD32, hope that this helps you to resolve the problem.

Yes, for that I get the option but when I tried to set it at that time I get the warning regarding the memory that are the setting might not work properly. After getting this error, I do not continue with doing this. And I am having windows XP with 2GB of RAM. After adding this all things, I can see that in order for the complete memory dump to work. And after this I decided o recall the warning on my system included 2045 Megabytes but I am sure that this might not be enough to be 2GB plus 1 Megabyte. And also I am sure here that for getting resolve this there is need of manually configure the paging file to a larger size. I am suggesting you about the paging file settings because, paging file settings are in the Performance section, and for the Debugging for the dumps setting are in the Startup and Recovery section. This might work for resolving the BSOD problem in your case. Try with this, it had worked for me.

I am sure that I have not got this type of the problem on my laptop and also in my case, I have to upload a full dump to the ESET. And I am sure that this will take so many days for uploading the 8GB. What you will say for my problem??

For that, can you reply me back over here that have you try with setting the minimum size of your paging file?? After reading your problem I can say that the problem seemed to go away when I did that on my system. But in my case, I was able to set the dump to a complete dump. And in my case, I was not having any BSOD with which to test this actually did work for allowing the complete memory to dump. I am not getting here that why are you getting this type of the problem. For getting resolve your problem, you will need to try with contacting with the support and hope that they help you.

Hey all, I am having Truecrypt7 and also ESET EAV 4.2 on my system. And with this I have done with the both HDD completely encrypted with pre-boot auth. And while doing this I didn’t get any problem. For you people I will say that you should also try with the same, hope that this helps you to resolve the problem. And still with this, if you get the problem then try to use the previous version only.

Hey all, thanks for suggesting me about the suggestion to resolve the BSOD problem with the ESET EAV 4.2.64, but no avail of doing this all things. Now I am thinking that I will try with the using the version 4 only.
