    Engenius 3500 Setup HELP!!!

I have done so much research, had best buy geek squad out 3 times and still nobody can get this thing to work. Im ready to throw this thing to the wall.

First off i should say i don't know much about computers so any advice would be appreacated but in plain english/ no tech talk you'll loose me quickly.

    What im trying to do......

I live on a farm and we have 2 houses on the property.

One house has wifi the other doesnt.

I bought a wifi panel that has a usb plug on it. Its attached to my desktop. It picks up the signal of the other house no problem.

I want to use muliple computers in my house so i was told to buy the engenius 3500

I need to know how to recieve the wifi and then rebroadcast it within my house to make my house wifi.

You can check out the video over here for the long Range Wireless Access Point Installation of the Engenius 3500 and setting it up. Additionally, refer to some similar kind of the topics given here - Configuration Of EnGenius ECB3500

Ok so its 2am and still this isn't working.

I did everything that video said to do but once i get to 5:56 in the video its talking about setting up client bridge. Well the guy in the video selects client bridge and save setting...well when i do that i click save setting and i get "can not load page" like i have no internet.

I should also note that i have to reset the 3500 and start off brand new. i also cant access the 3500 when im on my wifi. It uses the same browser ip address as the house im getting the wifi from so it takes me to the wrong router settings.

    Re: Engenius 3500 Setup HELP!!!

    1. To configure the device through the web-browser, enter the IP address of the device (default: 192.168.1.1) into the address bar of the web-browser and press Enter.
    2. Make sure that the device and your computers are configured on the same subnet.
    3. After connecting to the IP address, the web-browser will display the login page.
    4. Specify admin for both the user name and password.

More information can be found here.

"Make sure that the device and your computers are configured on the same subnet."

How do i do this? Or is that the 255.255.255 number?

Just want to make sure im doing this right in the begining also. I have to disconnect from the internet then select my router then type ip address in to get to my router welcome page. Otherwise if i was online and i typed the ip address in it would take me to the other router welsome page. Hope that makes sence.

I was thinking the place im getting internet from the ip address or what not is different so thats why its not connecting. Shouldn't it match the other router?

Why don't you put it into universal repeater mode and install a 10dbi omni gain 2.4 ghz antenna on it? Put antenna near window facing other farm
