Does Avast WHS edition supports WHS 2011

I am very interested in Avast WHS Edition because I have used it feature and I really liked its features and capability to defend and offer utmost protection. Right now I am moving toward the WHS 2011. So before that I would like to know whether Avast WHS Edition is compatible with WHS 2011 or not? AS you know that the WHS 2011 just released, not long time ago.

With the avast! Windows Home Server Edition will protect your server with the same quality as with all other products of our server solutions. The avast! Windows Home Server Edition does not include a single-user license and is valid only for the server operating system. Existing single-user solution like Avast! Professional Edition or avast! Home Edition is not supported on the server side.

Frankly, I would wait in your place until the new server line is released. Whether there will be a version specifically for WHS yet, I cannot tell you. The WHS is based on Windows Server 2008, so, therefore, should generally run by the Business Protection Suite.

Although there are reports of users who say that the avast! WHS Edition runs on the Windows Home Server 2011, the manufacturer offers no official support for doing so. However, it is at a avast! It is not known when new products are released. Also I am not sure if there is a new version of WHS is, but they will probably work something out if it does not work with WHS 2011.

I was tired that Avast is still no upgrade available for WHS 2011; I have a license for Avast WHS V1 until mid 2013. Partly for this reason I have to see which antivirus product is suitable for use on WHS 2011.

WHS 2011, Windows Server 2008 R2, after some research found that Nod32 Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 fully supports. You probably already understand, I have Microsoft Security Essentials removed from the clients and again with Nod32 and also my WHS box also features Nod32 2011, works perfectly.

All I've done more in the planner to create a schedule automatic virus scans in the night hours. In short if you quickly have an antivirus on your WHS box 2011 would have think about Nod32, with a connection via Remote Desktop is easy to install.

I used to have the trial version installed on the WHS 2011th The dashboard was not visible from Avast of course. About the RDP but an active Avast was visible. Thus, it seems to work. Longer tests I have not done. There then raises the question anyway, whether Avast offers the new version as part of license renewal or a new license is required here. If I wanted to use an anti virus on the server, the license would probably be phased out once more and then use the trial version on the WHS 2011.

I'm under Announcements unfortunately not yet found a specific date, when avast! 6 for Windows Home Server will appear. Actually, the release will appear this month. Looking forward as a lark on the update, because avast! 4.8 at WHS 2011 is not in the Dashboard. I can accept but that is supportive of the WHS in 2011
