How to remove Toolbarupdaterservice.exe virus

I am working with the windows XP operating system and everything on the system working fine but I have small issue with my system. Last night while working I found that the Toolbarupdaterservice.exe process running in my task manger and it takes lots of CPU usage. Now I don’t know how to remove the Toolbarupdaterservice.exe process from my system. Can anyone suggest solution on this issue and so that I can solve my issue.

The Toolbarupdaterservice.exe process is virus scan your system, so that you can remove the Toolbarupdaterservice.exe. Even I have faced the same issue I have scanned my pc with antivirus so I was able to resolve my issues with this virus.

Your getting this issue due to the Google and yahoo toolbar and so therefore I would like to suggest you to make disable or uninstall the all Google and Yahoo toolbar from your browser.

Even I have faced the same issue and after that I have gone through the below location and after that I removed the below exe file and after that I have solved my issue.

C:\program files\startnow toolbar\toolbarupdaterservice.exe

If above solution not working to solve the issue try to repair your operating system and after that you can solve the issue.

Change directory to c:\program files\startnow toolbar\
Double click "uninstall toolbar" icon.
Follow directions.
Log off. Log back on. Toolbarupdaterservice.exe is gone and no more exection

What you can do is, just go to the control panel and see if that is listed in the control panel. If it is there then you can simply remove it from there. It it is not getting removed from there then you can try o remove that in the safe mode.
