How do you manage your monthly internet bandwidth

How does you control your monthly bandwidth. That means if you have certain amount of internet limit like around 2GB then how does one can manage this. Today companies does not discontinue your service when you pass on the limit, instead of that they send you bill for the same. I need some solution for this. Also list some best tools that can help to control the bandwidth in different systems. It is really hard to find a way for the same and not easy to keep a track of each mb downloads.

I have some tools reference that will help you in this process. NetStat Live, this tools allows you to see your exact maximum flow of incoming and outgoing data from an Internet connection via a modem, cable, ADSL and even on a local network. And in the same way IPSO shows the upload and download speeds and instantaneous means and the volumes transferred. Ideal for monitoring your DSL line, cable, ethernet or WiFi. One more basic tool BWMeter is an bandwidth Analyzer and it also monitor and control traffic on the network. The program generates statistics for all computers in a LAN.

I use a software called NetLimiter which allows you to assign a certain amount of bandwidth to specific applications that are either decent or climb. You can use NetLimiter to set Download-/Upload rate. Along with this unique property offers a complete set of statistical tools Netlimiter on the Internet. NetLimiter Pro governs not only as a personal firewall you to access the network, but also the data rate to send the programs and may receive. It also shows statistics and other network information that it gains by including traceroute and whois.

If you are working on a wifi internet and that on a vast network then there are some tools. They allow you to o control and regulate the bandwidth they receive each of the 60 houses in a country, not a VPN. All packets are filtered P2P, and in case of excess consumption, regardless of the quality of the package, it can be programmed to automatically maintain a stable contracted bandwidth. This is an kind of very expensive setup only recommended to a very larget network.

There is a simple way to find out the active connections on your machine. For that you have to pass an simple command on cmd. To see each data transfer, creating an active connection between your machine and the Internet click on Start > Run > cmd. In the DOS command type netstat-n there is a space before the hyphen but not after. As a result you count the number line. If the number after about ten minutes after logging in more than 8 lines, without having sailed or did anything. You must in this case have some spyware on your machine and thus the potential exchange of your data to internet.
