Where to find setting for configuring http 192.1.1 over router

I am using a Speedtouch modem/wifi router which is working fine. I recently bought a new Linksys router and already flashed it with custom firmware. I dont know how to set it up so that I can connect the linksys to the Speedtouch by using a Lan cable rather than wifi so that I can connect all the other fevices with the linksys. Now the problem is that the Speedtouch has an IP of 192.168.1.254 that cannot be changed, so can I use Linksys with that as a gateway? Thanks

If you want to order to address the routers user interface, wireless settings, security, then you will need to supply the full IP in the address bar of Internet Explorer. The address are usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 and there is no need for the www. When you are at the login box then put adming in the username and the Password will be password only for login.

I think that you will have to switch the Speedtouch to bridge mode and then enable PPoE on both, incase the memory serves and if Bridging Mode is the same as Modem mode. If this doesnt work then join the Linksys to the Speedtouch using a lan cable into 1 of the different ports of each. After that switch the linksys back to Gateway mode and then enable wifi. Now use the linksys wifi network with your phone without any issues.

Incase the routers are on different subnets then you shall not have any issues using the 192.168.1.1 for both routers. Since 192.168.1.1 is the management IP address, I think that it might have got the DHCP information from the 10.10.30.0 network that includes things like default gateway and DNS servers.
