Hey dude, the other one SSL also provide the same kind of strong security to the web hosting connection. The SSL is a Secure Socket Layer and it consider some information as private and it helps to secure this information to the unauthorized outside the world. This is the most popular and the secure aspect which help to provide the security to the web hosting connection. I think you also need to use this for providing the security to the web hosting connection.

I also use the same SSL and I must tell you that this is the best option for securing the connection. I think the SSL is specially designed for the security purpose. The SSL provide the customer to keep their own important data as private and it helps to secure this data from the external world. This private data such as bank account information, phone number address and so on secure from the outside world. Then I think this is the best option for you.

Hey I also faced the same kind of issue and I had use the sftp for the security purpose. This is one of the types of the FTP server and it is also called as secure file transfer protocol server. This is specially designed for the security purpose. The performance of this sftp is so good and it provides the facility to secure the connections of the web hosting. Normally the administrator will use this facility for the security issues. I must suggest you to use the policy for the security purpose.
