Norton infected my machine ----need help

I recently installed in my windows vista os compatible dell inspiron laptop, the machine was working till the installation, but suddenly after that it starts creating a problem. One of the major problems is that, when I start the machine, the screen flicks few times after the manufacturer logo appears into the screen. Apart from that the response of the machine while tried to access any program. Along with this if I tried to play any media file by double click on the file; it takes a lot time to open the player application windows and to play the file. Though this type of problems starts occurring right after the Norton installation, so is this occurring for the antivirus program or there is any other cause of this problem? Any information regarding this will be appreciated greatly.

If you think that the problem is occurring for the Norton antivirus then try once to run the programs those are creating problem during the start up by simply disable the antivirus program, if these works fine after that then be sure that the problem is for your antivirus program and you need to replace that one. But if the problem is still occurring then I recommend you to repair the windows version, it might be happened that after install Norton antivirus some of the windows file stopped working and for this the problem is occurring, so by repair the windows platform the files can be recovered and the program will start to act as the original. To repair the windows version you need to insert the windows installation disk and from the installation process, look and select the windows repair option. Go through this, it will somehow help you.

Regarding the screen flickering problem, I think this is for the graphics card. I was also had similar issue and after replace the corrupted driver file with the new driver firmware the problem is solved. I recommend you to do one process; I hope this will surely help you. Insert driver installation disk and ping into the device manager, from ether locate the device driver and right click on it, choose offline recommended option, it will direct you to locate the driver installation program from nay place of the machine or from some other locate, browse and start the process. Follow the instructions and wait till the process completes. Reboot your machine and the problem will be solved by this technique.

Regarding the start up problem this might be for the windows start up, to make sure that start your machine in safe mode, and check whether the problems are still occurring or not. If they still appearing then I would like to suggest you to try once to resolve this issue by the start up repair option. For that reboot your machine and press DEL after the appearance of manufacturer logo into your screen. It will precede you into the windows start up window, from there select repair option and terminate the process. Go through the process, and after the completion of the process reboot your machine. Now try to start your machine in normal mode, I think this time the problem will not appear into your screen.

I don’t think so for the antivirus program, some specified applications in your machine are not running correctly. Did you try to play the media file in some other player? If the still is occurring there then be sure that the problem is for the player application, because I was also facing similar issue, after install the kaspersky antivirus program, similar issue was occurred in my machine. After that I searched everywhere for the solution, but in maximum forum sides I found that the problem is might be occurred for out dated player application, for that there is only one solution. Either download and install the up to date player application or manually go for update the player firmware version. I suggest you to download the update player application from the developer web site and install into your machine. Try with this, I think by this the problem can be solved somehow.
