Need WiFi Router advice.

Hi guys.
I have no knowledge whatsoever in this category. So yes I am a N00b.

I am currently connected to internet through a Cat5 cable(wired internet)
I am sharing my internet using Ad-Hoc to my mobile and other PC's
I want to purchase a new router instead of using the Ad-Hoc mode.
This is how I will be using it. But I don't know if it is possible. If it is then which is the best router to buy.

Under your condition the best thing which will suite you is creating a wifi hotspot. Yes you can just connect your wired internet cable to wifi router and create a wep or wpa network. There will a be common password for all if you are using a secure connection. You can simply connect any system to it, but the only condition is that you must have a wifi support to the device. Like adding a addition wifi dongle to the desktop systems, while this comes already with the laptop. It is much faster and better. There are tons of routers that you can buy for this.
