How to use Wireless USB Adapter for sharing files

Hi i have two laptops with me and one of it is connected with the wireless network through user name and password. the thing here is that the user name and the password is valid only for one connection and always the further connections are rejected. I am aware of sharing the internet in a wired network but unable to do the same thing in the wireless network, Please let me know how to do it in the wireless network. Here i use the wireless adapter of D-Link Wireless USB Adapter (DWA-131). Please let me know how to do the same and also if there is any other way that will help me to share the files.

To share files you have to follow the below steps:
    • First of all you have to make sure that windows XP Simple File Sharing is active.
    • Then you have to click on My computer
    • Go on to the files that you want share on the network.
    • Go to that folder and click on the folder icon
    • Then just right click on the folder and select the sharing and security option
    • Then you have to select the share option and the you have to just check that box.
    • Then click apply and then click ok

I hope that the file which you wanted will be shared on the network.

I have gone through your problem and it seems to me that if you want to share the files on the network then you can use the external hard drive and share the data that you want through that hard drive. It can also be known as network sharing. the thing here is that if you will use the map drive than it will be easy for you to share the files on wireless network. what you have to do is just store all the common data the you want to share on that drive and share the data through wireless network. I hope that this will help you to solve the problem. Make sure that you assign proper permissions to the files that you have to share.
