Problem in connecting to wifi after resetting router

I have a dell laptop purchased 1 year ago. Yesterday I formatted my laptop because some virus had came into my PC , After formatting I found that I have lost the password for the wifi connection. Since i had written the password on a piece of paper which is missing so i cant remember the password. So I reset the wireless router and created a new password. However, now my laptop can't connect to the network. I'm getting one of those "limited or no connectivity" messages.

Your laptop is showing the messages because you did not configure wireless router correctly after resetting it. You have to first configure well to make the router run without any problem.

If you have lost the password of your router this might help you. Complete these steps in order to recover your password:
Attach a terminal or PC with terminal emulation to the console port of the router.

    Use these terminal settings:

    • 9600 baud rate
    • No parity
    • 8 data bits
    • 1 stop bit
    • No flow contro

If you are not able to find the password for your router the best solution on that is to reset your router configurations to default. To do so, examine your router's physical appearance, and look for the RESET button. Push this button for about 1minute while it was on. Then try to connect it to your computer. That will reset its settings to default.
