Cannot Restore Files from Norton Online Backup

I wanted to evaluate the service for the clients therefore I have purchased Norton Online backup. Everything was running fine with back up in progress for the end of the day but on the next day when I went to work then I saw that the backup was over and I went to try a test restore. Every time when I try to do that, I get 500 server errors and the page is timed out.

I want someone to look at this problem and give the proper solution for it.

You can use Norton Online Backup system to reach the files. Here are the steps to be followed to do that to perform:

First of all visit the page: https://nobu.backup.com
Provide your username and password and login to your account.
Now choose your 360 Storage from the list.
It will list all your files you have on the server.
you can save the files to your PC.

Sorry to hear about the issue. I would like to tell you that normally it will take a long time for restore from our expectation. It is the same way like encrypting data and archives it on online backup server. Files have to be prepared for downloading before the actual downloading begins. The size of the file is the factor which decides the restore time. I would like to recommend you to initialize your restore process again.

Thanks for the replies. I know that it takes a long time to process but if the progress is around 0.5 to 0.7% per hour then that means that the program is not working. I think that there is something wrong with the online storage. I have also tried to restore few files at a time. Norton charges good money for extra storage and they should also provide a good product and customer service.

Every computer has a separate backup set because the data and the file makeup changes from one machine to other. You can still be able to restore your files from any set. You can change the restore from location and select the applicable machine. If you are not getting the data correctly then it does not mean that it is vanished. It is just a problem on the client side. I hope this will help you in any manner.

Norton Online Backup also has an advanced restore options. You can see this option when you click on Show option.

Here are the option which are available in that.

Restore to other: It will restore the data to other computer.
File option: It will restore the file on the original location on the computer.
Backed Up On: Files from the most recent backup set are restored.

Have you changes your hard drive. I was also having the same issue and the problem was my hard drive. Because your computer looks new to server and it is able to identify the computer. People from Norton cannot access their own server to access the information. I am not pleased the class of the support they are providing.
