Norton Ghost 15 install and uninstall Error

When I try to install Norton Ghost 15 on my machine and got errors in the "ProviderInstall.log" file saying Failed to Install VSS Provider function in MS Install VSS Provider Function. I have also try to remove it by the use of Norton removal tools, cleanup the registry and also manually hunting down Symantec folders but it also didn't help. also i get an Uninstall VSS Provider error when uninstalling Ghost 15.

You can try to run the command and checked C:\programdata\symantec\symantec symsnap vss provider\logs also you can see to services.msc and set is at enable and also set it to auto and again try to run the command. this will defiantly works to resolve the issue related to the Norton Ghost 15 install and uninstall Error.

To resolve the issue your problem as you are getting the error related VSS provider so you can try to see the VSS Writer services on your machine, you can go for following steps :

• Just on Click Start move to Run.
• Type cmd on the field and then click OK
• When command Prompt appear type "vssadmin list writers" and press Enter.
