    Norton 360 causes outlook crash

Yesterday, MS Outlook : it starts normally, but when I start to get the mailboxes,it hangs, and I am entitled to the message ( I quote from memory ... ) "the application has encountered a problem and needs to close . Would you report this problem to Microsoft? " . I tried again several times, and it's always the same scenario. Besides saving my data, uninstall and reinstall , I am using Norton 360. Please help.

I am really disappointed opportunities norton antivirus which is certainly a good antivirus , but I think Symantec wants to do too much . Indeed why mingles he prohibit the use of the network without us asking our opinion and without the possibility to modify these parameters. On their website you can not even ask a real question with real appropriate response. When inadvertently we mistaken action , it is "block "instead of " allow " , it is not found the opportunity to change these settings. Especially when the window where the choice of actions as a question appears, there is not even the cause of the blockage , I mean we do not always know what is this famous program attempts to connect to the internet and Symantec does not offer any explanation.

    Check the solution :
    * Netscape and Outlook Express use a filesystem that compresses into a single file all the messages in the inbox.
    * In some cases , when a message is quarantined , the entire inbox is too.
    * File Inbox Outlook Express is named Inbox.dbx .
    * The file inbox Netscape is called Inbox.

I will found the solution :

    1. Quit Netscape or Outlook Express.
    2. Close Norton AntiVirus if it is running .
    3. Click Start> Find > Files or Folders.
    4. Make sure " Look in " is pointing to the disk on which the mail program is installed.
    5. Enter Inbox.snm in the Named box and click Find Now .
    6. Click the button right mouse on the file Inbox.snm then rename it Inbox.bak .
    7. Close the dialog to find files.
    8. Stop there . Do not follow the rest of the document .

The following instructions tell you to ignore a virus warning . Ignore this warning only if the virus is detected during a manual scan or scheduled or for downloading a message. Do not follow these instructions if the virus was detected by Auto -Protect when opening a. Auto -Protect must be enabled before you continue. To check , run Norton AntiVirus and make sure that the words "Auto -Protect is enabled " is displayed. If Auto - Protect is disabled, click Enable , and then exit Norton AntiVirus.
