Security 5.5 for Exchange Problem

I am running Kaspersky Security 5.5 for Microsoft Exchange. I can't see the backup storage where we are able to see the files moved to the blocked mail folder. It gives me an unspecified error occurred during the operation. Is there anyone who can give me the solution to this?

This is a known problem that can be generated if the backup storage folder, that was created, have the name that ends with an ellipsis character. In such situation, the files are not saved and so the application is unable to detect the file. I would suggest you to try out restarting kaspersky service and MMC console once again.

1. Stop your Kaspersky anti-virus and anti-spam protection.
2. Then stop Kaspersky Security 5.5 service via the command prompt using "net stop kscm4e" command.
3. Reconfirm if it really stopped by checking it on the processes list.
4. Download QbStrqJET.dll from web and replace it from Kaspersky Security folder.
5. You can now start the Kaspersky Security 5.5 service using the command "net start kscm4e".
6. Now start your anti-virus and anti-spam protection.

If you are running damaged anti-virus Kaspersky databases, then it will show wrong status to the objects being scanned and performs their processing incorrectly. So in such situations the content of the objects in Microsoft Exchange Server storage areas will get corrupted without recovery. In other situations, this problem will occur if there is not enough available disk space on the drive where Kaspersky Security is installed.
