    SSH problem on Solaris

    Hello,
On my solaris computer, no ssh connection is possible. ping works. I have access to this computer on rsc. ssh to the outside also does not work. ssh localhost works fine. ssh deamon is running. I also find messages and if them. Snoop port is 22 during a trial a ssh connection with the computer to produce results in the following result. Any other solution for this? Thank your for your replies.

    Check these points

    - Firewall enabled? (Not run by default)
    - / Etc / hosts.deny entries?
    - Ssh generally works on other hosts?

I once had problems with ssh, because I had a hanging NFS mount. Apparently used SSH to seeding of the random numbers "df" -> hung NFS mount, came back and nothing connection failed.

Otherwise, simply start the ssh service once again if he has hung himself this helps you. Can not register users from outside the machine, regardless of which part (root, usera ...)? A snoop-d "Interface" shows you interaction the right network? What does your interface from outside after? You can use this command to check : ifconfig-a.

The snoop and my proposal will also:
    Code:
    nmap-p 22 usr_namehostip
Calling from a Unix system and you can see if ssh is bound only to localhost or to the external IP. If necessary. with change or svcs sshd_config. ip tables accidentally reset or something?

    Re: SSH problem on Solaris

I have just a default installation of Solaris 10 by lead. Registration and Security Update worked well. Unfortunately I have no SSH access.

    login as: root
    root@192.168.116.81 's password:
    Access denied

    Telnet is looks like this:
    : Root login
    Password:
    Not on system console

Where the file is to be changed? Or how should look the right way?

May indeed be the only who is direct root login via ssh is not allowed. another user can log on using ssh? The changes regarding ssh is always carried out in the sshd_config, there you are looking for the option PermitRootLogin.

    A Windows free landscape.
What do I need for it all:

    1st DNS
    2nd LDAP
    3rd NFS
    4th NTP
    5th nor samba-shares
    6th WWW
    7th ssh
8th openvpn (TLS) (connection with adjustment (rsync) the server)
    9th Mail
    10th Teleworker connections

And if it all goes very safe.
I guess you want to Item 8 on all companies / schools / need.
