    Removing QHosts-141 virus

    My laptop is installed with windows 7. Now it appears as my system is infected with QHosts-141 virus. please tell me how to remove this QHosts-141 virus. I would really appreciate your help in this matter. This virus is really affecting my systems performance and hence please tell me how to get rid of this problem.

    Have you not installed an antivirus on your system. It appears as you have not installed any of the antivirus application so i would recommend you to install the AVG antivirus on your system it is available absolutely free of cost and you can install it using the download link which i have provided below after downloading it from there. http://www.techarena.in/download/ant...ofessional.htm

    Follow the steps which i have mentioned below in order to get rid of this virus.
    • Right click the My Computer icon on the Desktop and click on Properties.
    • Click on the System Restore tab.
    • Put a check mark next to 'Turn off System Restore on All Drives'.
    • Click the 'OK' button.
    • You will be prompted to restart the computer. Click Yes.

    As far as i know this virus which you have mentioned in your post is associated to the following path which is specified below:

    %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

    I would advice you to check the files there and if you find the files there then i delete the file and the problem will be solved.

    Trojans do not spread fastly as far as i know these trojans they are mostly spreaded manually. Most probably in the environment where executable is something beneficial. So do not wait for any more damage to your system files simply try to install an antivirus application on your system.
