    Generic Rootkit.ej Virus Infection

    Hello, I am having Windows xp installed on my computer and from a day I am getting the message that my computer is got infected by the virus having name as Generic Rootkit.ej. I have scanned my computer with the antivirus Norton Internet Security 2010, but I am not able to remove it from my computer. If you are having any solution for removing this virus then please help me to achieve it.

    Hello, you need to update your antivirus first if you want to remove virus file from your computer. If your antivirus database is out of date then it is not possible to remove the new viruses from your computer. So, if you update your antivirus application then it is possible to remove this Generic Rootkit.ej virus from your computer. So, update it and get your problem solved.

    Hello, if you want to remove this virus from your computer then you just need to remove the key from the Registry below:
    HKEY_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\pxmauuve
    Just remove it and get your problem solved. For opening registry you need to use the regedit command at the run.
